Information plans and project plans

According to JoAnn Hackos in Managing Your Documentation Projects, the Information Plan and the Project Plan (or Documentation Plan) are the major components of the publications-development life cycle. The Information Plan describes the scope of the publications project and the Project Plan describes the schedule you will follow and the resources you will need to complete the project.
