STC RMC 2012-2013 Strategic Plan

The STC RMC 2012-2013 strategic plan was developed by STC RMC Executive Council and key stakeholders and managers.

Objective 1: Improve service to members

We will improve service to RMC members in the following ways:

Initiative 1.1: Offer more webinars

The Programs Committee will identify subjects for webinars based on the survey and presenter expertise.

Initiative 1.2: Offer more networking opportunities

The Programs Committee will encourage members to volunteer for hosting impromptu networking sessions after work, such as happy-hour get-togethers.

Initiative 1.3: Vary venues for programs and networking

The Programs Committee will identify different venues for meetings in various parts of Colorado. We will strive to hold as many networking meetings as possible in new locations.

Initiative 1.4: Continue Active Member Rewards Program

The Active Member Rewards Program has been successful to date and will continue in its current form.

Objective 2: Apply for awards

The Council will ensure the Chapter and its members are recognized for achievements through the following actions:

Initiative 2.1: Apply for the Pacesetter Award

The Chapter will apply for a Pacesetter Award again this year.

Initiative 2.2: Encourage members to apply for awards

Members will be encouraged to apply for Associate Fellow and Fellow Awards.

Initiative 2.3: Apply for DCSA for eligible members

We will identify members who are eligible for the Distinguished Chapter Service Award and submit their applications to STC.

Objective 3: Increase student participation

We will work to increase student participation by implementing the following plans:

Initiative 3.1: Connect with college students

The Council will work to prepare promotional materials and presentations, then visit college campuses to promote the chapter.

Initiative 3.2: Offer scholarships

The Scholarships Committee will prepare a plan to offer college students an opportunity to apply for two scholarships from the chapter this year. Update: The scholarship program was subsequently discontinued due to financial and other constraints.

Objective 4: Continue fiscal responsibility

The Council will work to continue its fiscal responsibility in the following ways:

Initiative 4.1: Look for opportunities to spend money wisely

The Council will continue last year's initiative while searching for innovative ways to improve service to its members.

Initiative 4.2: Look for opportunities to cut costs

The Council will continue last year's initiative to reduce costs.
