Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, publish and maintain online help and user guides for each product

  • Participate in the design and development process to improve the user experience of both documentation and software interfaces

Our customer has set forth these specific requirements:

An individual with a minimum of two years experience working in Satellite/Space Systems operations and maintenance, with an in-depth knowledge of the following disciplines:

I am looking for web site designer/tech writer for a project for the Veterans Administration in the Denver area. The project is due to start as soon as I can fill the position. This is a direct hire and would be an employee of Anteon and then contracted to the VA. This is a two year project.

Minimum/General Experience: Must have four years' experience in information systems development, technical writing, technical documentation or related fields. Must have two years specialized experience in web-based design and maintenance. A four (4) year Bachelor's degree from an accredited school.

Functional Responsibility: Will be required to develop websites and maintain the on going regular maintenance of updating website data, replacement of information to website data links, which include VA HAC policy, technical documentation and pamphlets and other sources of information. Other support functions will include but not limited to distributing documentation, maintaining logs and files, as required. Must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Software Experience (at least two years): Must at a minimum be able to show documented training and have recent experience performing functions in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe PhotoShop, IIS Servers and SQL. Responsible for supporting the classroom training instructional designer in the development and delivery of CBMS classroom training materials.  Specific product development and delivery include an instructor/student guide, a user desktop guide, job aids, classroom student/instructor evaluations, field supervisor evaluation, and the development of various program and job related student exercises that will be input into the classroom training database.  The training developer will also be responsible for the classroom training of some project users and trainers.

  • Individual should have some technical expertise so as to be able to quickly learn the system and work with the system database administrators and application developers in creating and setting up a classroom training database environment.

  • Be able to use FrameMaker without any training or support.

  • Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and customer interface skills.
