The small documentation staff creates print and online installation, programmer, and user-level documentation using AuthorIT, a content management authoring tool.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Technical Writer will create documentation for a variety of products and audiences. Most documents will be produced in Word, PDF, and HTML. The Technical Writer will be expected to work onsite under the supervision of a lead writer. The Technical Writer will be required to attend meetings with product developers, interview technical staff, and work with development versions of the products to obtain the information he or she needs to create the documentation.

Education and Experience

The Technical Writer should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Communications, or a related field. These role focus on learning complex technologies and creating content that describes state-of-the-art software architecture, object models and functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop printed and online documentation for multiple hardware and software products. Must maintain a professional and positive relationship with team members and client. Must be able to work independently, with team members, and project managers. Provide weekly project status to client and manager. Become the subject matter expert and client's point of contact. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. May act as mentor, coach, and train writers on project team. Ability to act as liaison between writing team and project team.

Skills and Requirements

Highly technical knowledge with strong ability to acquire, synthesize and present technical information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management. Proficient in Microsoft software programs, with emphasis on Word, Framemaker, Project and Outlook. Experience in technical writing projects or related fields. Detail minded with emphasis on quality assurance. Knowledge of project management of technical writing projects. Single sourcing and XML authoring tools a plus.

Education and Experience

Degree required, in technical writing or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in technical writing or related field.

Senior Investor Relations Communications Specialist (SFL15099)

POSITION SUMMARY BRIEF: Will assist National Communications Director in developing and implementing various financial and/or investor related communications programs for both internal and external audiences. Will gain an understanding of company’s brand, image and key corporate messages and will communicate those concepts in a variety of communications materials. 

Will be responsible for all writing, proof-reading and editing of financial communication materials which may include, but are not limited to: press releases, newsletters, business communications, website material, and internal communication pieces. In a professional manner, will serve as a representative of the national marketing and communications departments with internal and external clients. Must be able to link organizational goals with communication objectives, strategies, messages and vehicles. Must be able to take financial information and cobble it together into various formats with direction from the CFO and identify specific reader audiences and tailor copy accordingly. Will be responsible for all writing, proof-reading, editing, and project management of the annual report. Will develop and sustain an understanding of key industry issues and company operations and be able to interview company executives to obtain information for use in marketing/communication materials. Will take an active role in the company’s public relations efforts, including media outreach and monitoring news and trends. Serve as liaison to Investor Relations department. Work in conjunction with IR department to field financial related media inquiries. Will study, identify and formalize the corporate standards of financial writing style. Will work with other marketing personnel to implement this style into all products produced by company’s subsidiaries. 

A four-year degree in English, Marketing, Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of agency, corporate communications or investor relations experience. Skill in: Must have superior command of the English language, grammar and different writing styles. Must have superior written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, professionalism and positive attitude. Knowledge of the Finance industry and skilled in technical writing. Understanding of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Internet. Must be detail-oriented and possess a high degree of accuracy. Must have ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

WBT Developer with Expertise in DreamWeaver, Flash

Cherry Creek (~80% telecommute)

Required:

1-2 FT Contractors immediately needed to develop Web Based Training (WBT) for K-3 using DreamWeaver, Flash, HTML and other such tools. Must have at least 3 years experience using DreamWeaver and Flash, and at least 1 year experience developing WBT using DreamWeaver and Flash. Must be committed and
detail-oriented. The DreamWeaver developer will code/import MS Word-based storyboards into Web-based training. The Storyboards will contain the content, interactions, where to import graphics and video clips, and indicate how to link up the training Plus there will be an overall diagram of the WBT. The graphics and video will exist, the developer must have at least one year of experience importing graphics and video clips into WBT. 

WBT has be completed NLT November 4th-7th, with revisions to be completed within the next 1.5 weeks professional apply. The program will be high visibility and can lead to more follow-on work with the potential for national visibility.

Desired Skills

Instructional design and graphic experience a plus, but not required.

The WBT will run on a Learning Management System, called e-School. (Knowledge of this system or experience with similar systems is a plus, but not a requirement.
