Front Range Freelancers

Consulting and Independent Contracting (CIC) SIG members are interested in the special business opportunities and challenges involved with working as a contractor or consultant. The SIG meets before chapter meetings several times per year, as well as separately for in-depth discussions on relevant topics. The SIG offers several web-based resources, including notes from past meetings, an FAQ about freelance technical communication, a list of employment agencies that place technical communicators, a list of STC freelancers, and news about upcoming CIC SIG meetings. Topics of interest to the SIG membership can be brought up for discussion in the chapter's mailing list. The list, which is always a good way to network with other freelancers, is especially useful to members who are unable to attend chapter and SIG meetings.
