Program Details

A two-part workshop on the issues facing technical communicators today:

  • Project Management for Technical Communicators, led by Nathanial Quintana, provides participants with an overview of project management elements and ideas for how technical communicators can join the process early, before the editing phase begins.
  • Auditing Project Design/User Experience, led by Larry Marine, demonstrates a product design/user-experience audit method that identifies potential user errors and corrective actions in the early stages of design, rather than waiting for the later stages of a project.

Participants in both workshops will gain a better understanding of how involvement throughout the project life cycle will provide for better documentation and communication.

On Saturday: CANCELLED!

  • Recession Proofing Your Career, led by Jack Molisani.
