The reading list

Each season brings the vow from me to reduce the ever-growing and always precarious stack of books on the headboard and the corner of my desk. Of course, each season brings new books to the stack, so I know it is unlikely I will ever get through All The Books To Read.

With summer upon us, any suggestions on books to read or books you are reading, related to Technical Communications?

  1. Marcia Wood says:

At the STC Summit in Rosemont, Illinois, I bought a book by Innovation Expert Scott Berkun, titled, “The Myths of Innovation.” The book contains many reference points from Scott’s keynote address of the Summit. If you have ever pitched a radical idea to an executive or an executive committee, you encounter the people who give nightmares to innovators. The book has many revealing quotations from Niccolo Machiavelli, to Thomas Edison, to Albert Einstein. The author has a breezy style that’s easy to read.
