Once again, the STC RMC has received a community achievement award (CAA) from the STC and chapter has been recognized as a Community of Excellence. The CAA program honors STC chapters and special interest groups (SIGs) for exceptional accomplishments as they strive to meet the Society’s goals. The award acknowledges that the winning communities have performed well beyond the basic expectations of a healthy, well-run chapter.
The awards program recognizes communities that demonstrate outstanding, innovative, and sustained performance in advancing the goals of the Society. This year’s STC RMC citation reads as follows: “For outreach to members through networking meetings, blogs, and webinars; and for mentoring new leaders through the president’s advisory council.”
The incoming chapter president, Ruth Gaulke, along with other chapter officers and managers, will accept the chapter’s award at the upcoming STC Conference in Atlanta in May 2009.
