by Martha Sippel

If you haven’t done so already, please congratulate Kit Brown-Hoekstra on her election to the STC Board of Directors. She will soon be STC’s Vice President! Kit will hold this position from 2013-2014, accede to President during 2014-2015, and become Immediate Past President in 2015-2016.

Kit has been an STC member and volunteer for 24 years. She held various positions in STC, including nominating committee at both the chapter and international level, chapter president (Snake River Chapter), SIG manager, international publications competition chair, and Global Strategies committee chair.

Kit holds an MS in Technical Communication and a BS in Biology, both from Colorado State University.

In early May, STC will induct Kit and the other elected Board members during the annual business meeting at the STC Technical Communication Summit and Expo in Atlanta. If you are going to the Summit, consider attending the business meeting to support Kit and to see what business is brewing in STC.

Please help us congratulate Kit on her elected position at our chapter’s May 16, 2013 annual business meeting.
